Renewable Energy Act (EEG) - EEG levy – can it be reduced?

Certain companies, or independent parts of companies, in the manufacturing sector, can reduce their electricity costs by applying for a limitation of the EEG levy – an important factor for energy-intensive sectors. However, certification is required in advance from an auditor stating that all of the details presented in the application are correct.

On behalf of our clients, we examine whether they satisfy the conditions for such an application, and when appropriate, issue the relevant certificate which is then presented to the Federal Institute for Economics.
