Our “Curriculum vitae”

Our accounting firm was established in 1970. This was when Dipl. Kaufmann Willi Hartmann (auditor, accountant and legal counsel) – the company’s senior partner today – set up office as an accountant in Rheine, Germany.
A great deal has happened since then: we have undergone many changes and have continually grown – on the human resources side as well as in the variety of services we provide – to enable us to always satisfy the growing requirements of our clients. And also because the tax laws in Germany are becoming more and more complex from year to year ...

Small and large milestones during the development of our firm of accountants included the implementation of the first cost accounting in the middle of the 1990s. This economic advice developed all the way to implementing systems for commercial corporate management. 
“IDEA” is and remains very important – a program that we have used since 2005 to analyse mass data and to randomly sample balance confirmations. The advantage we have gained thanks to our many years of experience, is that we can uncover and correct typical processing mistakes which have arisen in the bookkeeping, before an external audit even takes place. Moreover: the tax office only “discovered” IDEA five years later than we did: we therefore benefit from a great deal more experience in operating this software... And while we are on the subject of “software”: we signed a business partner agreement with Winterheller Software GmbH in 2002 to enable us to use their Professional Planner, revenues and financial planning software.  

As an auditing company, we undergo regular examinations to ensure everything complies with Section 57 a WPO (Wirtschaftsprüferordnung, Public Accountants’ Code). And because our quality control is also checked by the system (verified by the Wirtschaftsprüfungskammer, State Boards of Accountancy) we are authorised to carry out mandatory audits of annual financial statements and consolidated annual financial statements – this authorisation has only been awarded to one in three auditing companies in Germany. 

Over the last 40 years, the rising number of our employees has led to more than one move to new premises in Rheine. At today’s office location in the Anton-Führer-Straße, we have three experts qualified as auditors and public accountants, one public accountant, and 15 additional employees. This is concentrated expertise for our all-round professional and competent advice covering all taxation aspects.
